Dear Council
Tomarata School recycle is not getting picked up. It is a problem because we are a school and we produce a lot of recycle paper. We should be able to recycle as much we need to.
You say we have to be environmentally friendly with our rubbish, but then you say we can’t recycle what we need to get rid of. We have signed a contract with Auckland Council to be a waste wise school and you aren’t helping us.
We are a school with lots of paper to recycle. People send our supplies in cardboard boxes that need to be recycled. Your truck driver from 3 weeks ago said they can’t pick it all up. You are giving us mixed messages. You don’t want us to put the paper in the land fill but you won’t pick up the paper. So do you want us to use the landfill for our paper.
Why can’t you pick it up. We flatten it, bag it, and we put it neatly in bundles. Please pick it all up.
Yours sincerely
Rachel Logue and Rhianna Schedewy
