Mrs McCracken came into school and spoke to Rooms 5 & 6 about Down Syndrome. She talked about what it is and the differences someone with Down Syndrome might have. Many of the students in Room 6 acknowledged the day by wearing 21 socks – Trisomy 21 is the name of the extra chromosome that someone with Down Syndrome has. Kiarnan made a special effort and his sock shirt was fantastic.
