This week our science investigation involved observing how different materials interact with each other. We put milk into a plate and then dropped different colored food coloring into the middle of the liquid. The food colorings sat in the milk until we added another material. The new material was detergent. We dipped a skewer in detergent and touched the skewer in the milk. We observed the reaction. The colours suddenly moved around making all sorts of patterns. The patterns continued to change for quite a while. We wondered what had happened.

Fantastic work. The students certainly are adding to their library of experiences. The photos are great. Can’t wait to come back and talk to the children.
