A play by Jarvis
(The sound of two shots rings out in the night)
DAD: Jarvis, you go get it.
JARVIS: Oh, ok.
POSSUM: Ku-k-ku-ku!
JARVIS: Dad, it’s still alive!
DAD: Hold on, I can’t see you. It’s too dark.
(Scratch, scratch, scratch)
JARVIS: Dad, what was that noise?
DAD: What noise?
(Scratch, scratch, scratch)
DAD: It’s the possum!
JARVIS: No!
(Dad shines the torch at the tree. Underneath it there is a pig looking for food.)
DAD: Jarvis, it’s a pig!
JARVIS: Oh!
DAD: Let’s keep going.
JARVIS: OK.
(They walk a bit further.)
JARVIS: Dad! There’s a possum!
DAD: Where?
JARVIS: Over there! Shoot it, Dad!
Bang! Pop! Pop! Bang! Crash!
DAD: Jarvis, go get it.
JARVIS: Oh, ok.
POSSUM: Ku-k-ku-ku!
JARVIS: Dad, this one’s still alive too!
DAD: Oh, OK, coming…
Bang! Crunch! Snap!
DAD: Now let’s have a look… No, we’ll have to leave it. It’s too badly damaged and so is the fur.
JARVIS: But what about the money we were going to get for it?
DAD: Oh well.
DAD and JARVIS together: Let’s go home!
The End
