Yesterday morning Room 4 got the opportunity to experience holding a cricket bat correctly. Especially which side of the bat was to connect with the ball. Then we learnt how to place our hands so if we were holding the bat correctly we would see 2 ‘v’s’ and finally there was the positioning of our feet when we are about to hit a ball.
Lots of practise and then it was on to a game of non-stop cricket.
Alas for the instructor – our listening ears were obviously on holiday as we got carried away with trying to hit the ball and run – hand grips, feet position and which way the bat should be facing were mostly forgotten.
As for fielding – picking grass is far more interesting.
Never mind maybe Mrs S can plan some cricket lessons into our busy week.
Looks like fun guys!
Haha, that’s my boy….doing the grass picking!!
