This term our topic study is milestones and celebrations. We have been reading about the Baha’i faith and have learnt Baha’is have their own nineteen month calendar but each month has only 19 days. So, compared with the everyday calendar they end up with four or five extra days. The extra days are called Ayyam-i-Ha and they are used as a time to celebrate. They have parties, give gifts and give to charity. Sometimes gingerbread men are made to give as presents. We made some gingerbread men. We learnt it is important to follow the recipe to make successful gingerbread men.
