We had an exciting day today as we all had the opportunity to observe how a hangi is made.  We had to wait a few hours to sample the results but it was worth waiting for.  We are very appreciative of the time given by our hangi experts who were at school early in the morning to dig the hole and prepare the hangi pit.  It was a real community effort, with all our families contributing meat and vegetables, preparing the vegetables and  stuffing and helping with the serving.
