We had a very successful day at Pakiri Beach for our Interschool Cross Country Event. It was a popular change to have the event at the beach instead of the farm. No big holes to fall in and no mud or prickles. It was hard work running through the soft sand though. We enjoyed playing in the sand and building castles and moats after the running had finished. The food was great. Congratulations to all those people who competed, whether you enjoyed running or not. It looks like we will have a few runners competing in the Northland competition.

I think we are so lucky to have a beautiful beach where the cross country could be held. Thanks, Pakiri School for the organisation, and well done to all the competitors.
I felt very tired after the run.
