This year our overnight stay was at Kelly Tarltons. We spent the day at Auckland Museum carrying out a ‘Save the Museum’ challenge where we needed to carry out all sorts of tasks that museum workers do at the museum. We had to compete in teams and take photos to show we had completed each task. We also had time to wander around and explore. The earthquake room was a favourite.
After dinner at Orakei Park we arrived at Kelly Tarltons, unloaded our gear and went to the classroom to learn about the place. We saw all sorts of sea animals, had a ice bucket challenge, fed the fish, watched the penguins being fed and slept with the sharks and sting rays. We had an awesome time.
