Naomi from Pam’s Foods spent the morning with us on Monday teaching us about becoming more knowledgeable about the food we eat. We learnt about the four important food groups that we need to eat from every day. We learnt about the foods that are only “sometimes” foods. We read the nutritional information labels on food products to see if they are every day foods or “sometimes” foods. It was interesting to discover that some of the cereals we eat are not classified as every day foods. We know how much sugar, salt, fat and fibre should be in foods to make them every day foods. Now we are looking forward to our supermarket visit so we can read more labels on different food products.
